We are confident that our artists receive a very fair price |

Kamibashi is dedicated to quality and, just as importantly, we are also dedicated to paying our artists well for their hard work. We are more than happy to pay above-average prices and commissions to the artists we buy our dolls from and who we license our greeting card and print artwork from.
On the handmade keychain front, we are thrilled to be working directly with the Kooninthong family on their one-of-a-kind plush product, The Koonin Family Pets™, and we know for a fact that they are well taken care of. We also work directly with the DEBO Art Cooperative, the creators of our DEBO™ Superheroes (each of which is a limited edition of 50) and know that they too being paid well.
Our string dolls come from several sources and we work with agents as opposed to directly with the individual string doll makers. We have always paid more than the asking price and are confident that our string doll artists receive a very fair price per piece. When we visited the folks who make the bulk of our exclusive Kamibashi-designed dolls in Thailand in May, 2008 (see photos) we were thrilled to meet some of them and watch them do their string doll magic! These are the people responsible for dolls such as Some French Guy, Moody Cow, and new summer 2008 dolls Gus the Plumber and Farmer Jones. As you can tell, they are doing a fantastic job!
We are indebted to everyone whose work appears on our pages. After all, without them we wouldn’t be in business! Thank you to all for your wonderful, creative, and fun pieces of art!
