Design with Dedication – Creative Enterpreneurship

Lara has been working independently for the past few years as the sole proprietor of Lara Mondae Design. Prior to this, she spent 12 years at a three person graphic design studio in Evanston, Illinois.

Kamibashi's business materials were all designed by Lara Mondae, a graphic designer working independently in Chicago.

Products Connecting People

The logo is the heart of Kamibashi's visual identity. Lara established the stationary and collateral design for Kamibashi.

We told Lara that we wanted the Kamibashi ("paper bridge") logo to reflect the idea that our products connect people, cultures, and timeless art traditions, and then she worked together with an illustrator until they reached an icon that we felt portrayed Kamibashi perfectly. She then used it to design our business cards, letterhead, stickers, textile tags, and a banner to use at trade shows and art fairs.

Full Scope of Graphic Design

Lara designs annual reports, brochures, publications, corporate identities, advertisements, banners, CD designs, and a variety of other marketing materials. Her clients include: The Metropolitan Planning Council, Women's Council of Realtors, Project Kesher (a not for profit women's organization), Northwestern University Block Cinema, North Shore School of Dance, The Christian International Scholarship Foundation, and other corporate and institutional clients.
